DIY Blythe Eyechips

I never would have believed just how easy it is to DIY Blythe Eyechips.

All you need are some “14mm Clear Adhesive Cabochons” like those sold by Antiqued on Etsy and some paper. You don’t even have to worry about glue to attach the paper as these cabs are self-adhesive.

DIY Blythe Eyechips

I just drew up some 14mm circles in GIMP (PhotoShop free equivalent software). decorated them and printed them out. The eyechips above were the result. So easy!!

If you’re a little shy of drawing up your own you can even buy a printable digital sheet of Blythe doll eyes from Etsy. It doesn’t get easier than this.

Those are really beautiful Sinead! Ive been making eyechips for my custom dolls for a while. I just tried the cabochons as a test, I liked the idea of not having to use glue. I also like how the flat cabochons fit better in the eye mech! I must have bought really cheap ones because the adhesive peeled off the chip easily. If you still have the link to the ones you used on etsy, could you reply with that link.

      Hello Trisha
I have been buying “14mm Clear Acrylic Cabochon with Adhesive Backs” from Antiqued on Etsy. Sadly she doesn’t appear to have any in stock at the moment. I have messaged the shop owner to ask if she has stopped selling them and will update here if I hear back from her.
      Regards
      Sinead
